91Ƭ Astana, American Councils

91Ƭ Astana, based at the American Councils for International Education, regularly conducts free seminars on topics related to study in the U.S., group and individual advising sessions, and diagnostic tests for SAT, TOEFL, and GRE. The center’s library has university catalogs, student financial aid information and test preparation materials. Every month, the center conducts several free online seminars on the admission process to U.S. colleges and universities. In addition, the center leads group consultations at American Corner every week.

Participation is Free of Charge; We require 100% attendance, 100% motivation, and 100% initiative. The program is highly selective. What is included: - Essay writing course and essay review; - Supplemental essay writing course and review; - Full guide for the Application process (college search, filling out Common App, etc.); - Best strategies for writing Common App Activities List, practice and review; - Understanding types of Financial aid, eligibility and requirements, and deadlines; - Presentation on filling out financial aid form (CSS Profile) for club members and their parents; - Individual Consultations

Eligibility Requirements: - You must be a resident of Kazakhstan; - You should be graduating from high school in 1 academic year; - Level of English must be upper-intermediate or higher; - U.S. universities must be your first choice; - You must be ready to commit your time, attend all the virtual sessions, and do all the assignments.
