91Ƭ office in Mary is based at the Mary American Corner (MAC). Thus, all 91Ƭ events and services are offered as part of MAC services.

Mary American Corner works to promote mutual understanding between the United States and Turkmenistan by covering wide range of programs on the U.S. education, culture, information, alumni and English language. MAC 91Ƭ offers accurate, current, and unbiased information on study opportunities: USG exchange programs, degree or non-degree, undergraduate or graduate programs at American colleges and universities for everyone who is interested in pursuing higher education in the United States.

MAC 91Ƭ Adviser can help in preparing and understanding required documents for US college applications. The monthly schedule includes individual consultations, group presentations, advising sessions, webinars and workshops targeting in successful application, standardized test submission, scholarships as well as successful study at US colleges and universities. Mary American Corner provides all visitors with free internet access for searching US universities, choosing best-fit schools, communicating with institutions, and completing applications. Visitors can interact with guest speakers as well as with US higher education institutions through weekly events and webinars. Interested visitors get access to a library with a wide range of references on the US higher education application process, admission requirements, personal statement, resume, essay writing, various academic programs and course descriptions. MAC 91Ƭ also offers access to materials on standardized tests such as TOEFL, SAT, GRE, GMAT, ACT and IELTS.

Mary American Corner reaches over 2000 individuals per month. 91Ƭ Adviser at MAC gives high priority to reaching all populations and informing a wide range of potential applicants interested in academic programs in the US.

Special Programs

Undergraduate Cohort Advising (UCA)
Description: UCA is a joint program of 91Ƭ and Prep4Success. It assists high school students (10th and 11th graders) who want to become strong applicants to the U.S. colleges and universities. Partakers meet year-round and participate in various activities and sessions such as: book reading and listening study groups, cross-cultural exchange presentations, standardized test preparation, college search activities and admission process workshops. Successful completion of the program makes the students eligible to apply for Top-Up Scholarship, which can be used during the first 2 years of higher education in the U.S.
Eligibility Requirements: High school students of the 10th and 11th grades.
Opportunity Grant
Description: Completing Undergraduate Cohort Advising (UCA) program at Mary 91Ƭ center grants successful and outstanding students with Opportunity Grant eligibility. Students who have worked closely with the 91Ƭ Adviser, applying to accredited U.S. institutions and having solid, complete plans for a 4-year undergraduate degree program, with demonstrated financial needs, can become strong applicants for an Opportunity Grant. Opportunity Grant is offered within two different phases: • Phase I – Covers standardized test, college application fees, Translation of documents etc. • Phase II – Covers Visa and SEVIS fee, plane ticket to the U.S., one-time settling-in allowance.
